Your project, your priorities.
Colour decisions can be emotional and high-stakes, but they should never be arbitrary or reactive. It’s only when you have a clear rationale and strategy for using colour that you can communicate it effectively to your clients.
In this one day VIP session you decide the direction, and get the help you need, when you need it. I design and communicate colour ideas all day, everyday. Let me help you move your project forward with colour confidence and clarity.
Here are five ideas for your VIP Colour Impact Day:
-
I share my methodology and guide you through the process. Requires a site visit and follow up design session in your studio. At the end of the day you’ll have rich resource to guide your project colour decisions, grounded in place, with a unique backstory that your clients will love.
Suitable for solo practitioner or a small team (2-4 people) working on the same project.
-
You’ve put together a beautiful palette of materials and colours, but how are you using them? Too often, that beautiful colour accent ends up as a throw cushion, and opportunities for a more dynamic use of colour go unrealised.
Are you really using your palette to amplify the spatial experience?
This is for a project that is spatially resolved, i.e you have a complete 3D model of the building to work with. We’ll discuss and test different colour strategies. I’ll help you move beyond your colour comfort zone, and exceed your clients expectations.
Also suitable for renovations.
-
Are the voices in your head tying you up in knots? Have you got a developed scheme, but feel it could be better? Think of this as a personal colour coaching session! Identify what’s working and what’s not, break through the decision fatigue with a colour confident thought partner.
Another idea - are you working on a competition submission? Let’s review and refine your colour strategy, and create a powerful colour narrative for maximum impact.
-
You are working on a healthcare, refuge or public housing project and you want help to review it through the lens of Trauma Informed Design. What colour and material strategies can improve user well-being and engagement? This could be useful at various project stages, email me to discuss your requirements.
-
A private half day Colour Workshop held in your studio, for up to 8 people (usually $5,880+gst)
Is your priority or colour issue not on the list?
No problem! Just email me to discuss if this is the right fit for you. If it can be done in a day, let’s talk about how you can get the most out of your VIP session.

“Your work embeds a layer of storytelling and artistic expression into the architectural expression, thereby creating a greater depth of meaning. The outcome provides multiple layers through which the end user can interact with the building."
Gabrielle Pelletier, Sam Crawford Architects
-
“Sonia, your philosophy and theories on colour are game changing and I can’t wait to learn more”.
Michelle Lee, Architect
-
“Sonia prepared a beautiful colour scheme where, rather than using one colour, she proposed 4 different greens to improve the restaurant’s spatial qualities and create depth and interest. It was such a wonderful experience working with Sonia. She made a good scheme into something really special.”
Phillip Arnold, Plus Minus Design
-
“I have worked with Sonia for some time now and I admire her confident and bold approach to architecture. Sonia pushes the envelope – always thinking outside the box - and continually helps me to do the same."
Emili Fox, Architectus
